The Aberdour Festival was started in 1984 to
involve the whole community in a festival of social, cultural
and sporting activities during one summer week of each year.
Originally the programme only covered 4 days and has grown
in strength and size so that now it lasts for a full 8 days.
The Aberdour Festival is now in it's 18th year - a remarkable
achievement for a village of its size. The Festival Committee
is made up of volunteers who give their time and enthusiasm
throughout the year to put on the festival.

The Festival takes place in the first week in August with
organized activities starting at 10 am and ending around Midnight.
Our main venue is the Festival Marquee situated beside the
famous Silver Sands, which has a fully licensed bar and has
seen the likes of Wolfstone, Boys of the Lough, Battlefield
Band and Capercallie perform. We try to use all the village
facilities and encourage participation from village
